The controversy started after Ruth and other Twitter users shared and compared an old livestream image of Jarvis with a more recent picture, suggesting that her appearance had changed since getting married to fellow TikTok personality Peller.
Reacting in a video, Jarvis questioned why Ruth was so interested in comparing her pictures and mocked her for focusing on her appearance instead of getting married herself.
“So, on Twitter, there’s one lady called Ruth. I don’t know who gave her Ruth because the Ruth I know in the Bible, they are not like that,” she said.
Jarvis continued, “She was comparing my picture of this year to that livestream picture. I don’t even know how they edited that livestream picture. Now say when I was single, I’ll be before marriage and after marriage.”
Turning directly to Ruth, she added, “Ruth, you are there comparing before and after. Why don’t you go and get married?”
The TikTok star also accused the Twitter user and others of using her pictures to generate engagement and make money on the platform.
“You people are using me to cash out on that Twitter app,” Jarvis said.
She further criticised Ruth over the comparison, using several insulting remarks while questioning why the woman was concerned about her appearance.
Jarvis’ response has since generated reactions online, with social media users weighing in on the exchange and the growing discussion over her appearance following her marriage.
